Of course, it’s going to take time, it’s not going to be easy, and it certainly isn’t going to be an overnight story, but that doesn’t discourage you. It’s just, that you don’t want those closest to you to be pulling you down, because of their limited belief system. You’re going to experience that, but the question is, how will you handle it?

You have to be able to keep your head up and let it go. You won’t be bale to get rid of their doubts, but you can manage it by putting gin the work day after day. Think about it like this: a true friend will cheer you on when times are good, and listen to you when time are bad. By taking on the entrepreneurship life, you will be in a perpetual state of developing yourself. Your closest friends should encourage you and support you, but also be honest.

One of the main reasons that people don’t make it, is because they don’t believe that they can do it. They don’t have the mentality of those that did make it. They spend like there’s no tomorrow, they don’t invest their money, they don’t invest their time into developing, they do the same things but don’t recognize that they have the same opportunities that you do. The difference is that, you believe that you can.

The people that are telling you this tend to fall into one of three categories: (1) They have a good pension from a position that they’ve worked in for 30 years (give or take), (2) They are struggling financially, or, (3) They have no concept of money. Their voices don’t matter. They want you to be like them. Plain and simple, don’t listen, it’s not what you want out of your life.

It’s tough and frustrating when the people closest to you don’t support you or don’t seem to be on the same page as you, especially when it comes to your goals. It can be a little discouraging as well. But remember that you know your vision best. Potentially, you could have an honest chat with them about why it’s so important to you and why you’re passionate about this. You could also mention the steps that you’re are taking to make it a success. This way, they’ll be able to understand your position and where you are coming from. In the end, trust your instincts, if they don’t seem like helpful contributors find a like-minded community. Surround yourself with people that believe in you and want to see your business do well.
